Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is a reasonably cheap and very popular foundation that quite a few people that I know use (they all have the oily skin type, some oilier than others).
This foundation is pretty heavy so you need to apply it quite lightly. You need to get the right tone as some people have found that once you apply the foundation on your face it looks quite different to how it looks in the tub. It’s not cakey and it has a matte finish which is perfect for oily skin.

From the people I have asked, this has not caused any issues with acne or it’s not caused an increase in the oiliness of their skin. It does sometimes need to be applied twice a day though. Doing a quick search on the internet tells me that some people are noticing that this foundation does cause them to brake out so it may be a little bit hit and miss.
Let’s take a quick look at the ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Squalane, Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Silica Dimethyl Silylate Phenoxyethanol, Phenyl Trimethicone, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Methylparaben, Aluminum Hydroxide, Silica, BHT, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Butylparaben.
May Contain: CI 77891/Titanium Dioxide, CI 77499, CI 77492, CI 77491/Iron Oxides, CI 77163/Bismuth Oxychloride, Mica.
There are a couple of things in there that aren’t ideal for oily skin. Apparently, Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is non comedogenic, but some people still report that they develop spots because of it. With the price being at the $7 mark, it may be worth trying this product out and seeing if it works well with your skin. As far as this being the best foundation for oily skin? I doubt that. I do think it’s worth trying out though at that price.

Overall the foundation got mixed reviews. Some people were big fans while others think that there are much better products out there for a similar price.
